Christer Mjåset

Christer Mjåset (M.D.) is a Norwegian neurosurgeon, lecturer, columnist and author. Mjåset has written five books, three of them thematizing the everyday work and challenges of physicians in both primary care and hospitals. “The Doctor Who Knew Too Much” (2008) tells the story of a general practitioner coming to work on a deserted island on the west coast of Norway, while “White Ravens” (2012) is about the highly competitive culture in a surgical department at a hospital. Both novels were praised by critics. Mjåset is currently a Harkness fellow in Health Care Policy and Practice at Harvard University in Boston. His books have been translated to German and Polish.
